Both the US and Saudi Arabia have said that Iran is responsible for the attacks on vital Saudi oil installations over the weekend that knocked 5% off of global oil supplies.

In the aftermath of the attack, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei said that “Iran will never hold talks with America”, which is a continuation of his ongoing speeches about continuing ‘prudent resistance’ policy, which would include developing Iran’s missile program, maintaining the regime’s support of terrorism abroad, and blocking the protests inside the country. This is, after all, how Iran survived for 40 years.

Pedram Pazireh, an Iranian student activist, has been sentenced to seven years of imprisonment and 74 lashes by the Tehran Court of Appeal, local sources reported on 18 September 2019.

He was also sentenced to two years of a travel ban and forbidden from membership in groups and parties. His appeal was denied by the Iranian regime's court in order to put more psychological pressure on the prisoner.

Pedram Pazireh is the vice president of the Student Union of Tehran University. He was arrested during the nationwide uprising in December 2017.

Sahar Khodayari, who has been dubbed “Blue Girl” due to the color of her favorite team, Esteghlal, died in hospital on Monday from suicide, after her self-immolation outside a court.

She feared being jailed for six months after attending a football match disguised as a man.
