Campaign to Force Iran out of Syria

An internet campaign has been set up with the aim of getting the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) to leave Syria. It was set up by activists from both Syria and Iran.

Since the beginning of the Syrian civil war, Iran has been involved. Over the years its involvement has increased as the opposition to Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad got stronger. When Iran realised that there was a chance that Assad could be overthrown, it started to send in large numbers of troops to prop the Syrian president up.

Iran Supporting and Arming Bahraini Militants

In September 2015, a bomb-making facility was discovered in a warehouse in Bahrain. Officers found chemical precursors and military-grade explosives.

They found armour-piercing projectiles that could slice its way through a tank and there were a large number of boxes of C-4 (military explosive).

Investigators in the country said that items like this had never been seen before there. In a report about the arsenals seized, investigators said that the firepower and caches found were a “game-changer”. The investigators also said that up against lightly armed police, the amount of arms seized was “overkill”.

Iran Terror Plot Foiled in Bahrain

Last weekend, authorities in Bahrain arrested several people that are part of a terrorist cell backed by Iran. They were accused of planning to assassinate senior government officials and are suspected of being involved in a bus bombing last month that wounded numerous policeman.

A large quantity of domestically-manufactured explosives were found during the raid on Sunday, as well as numerous weapons and communications equipment.

Numerous People Arrested by Bahrain for Links to Iran-Backed Terrorist Plots

On Sunday 26th March, members of a terrorist cell sponsored by the Islamic Republic of Iran were arrested by members of the Bahrain security forces.

The cell is suspected to have been involved in the bus bombing that killed a number of policemen last month. They were also charged with plotting to assassinate senior government officials.

The news comes from the BNA – Bahrain’s state news agency – and it also reported that the IRGC (Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps) provided military training to six of those who were arrested. Five other suspects are said to have been trained by the Iraqi Hezbollah and three others received training in Bahrain.

How Can Iranian Regime Be Stopped in Its Tracks?

Relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States continue to deteriorate. Iran refuses to comply with norms accepted by the international community and is boasting that it plans to launch “roaring missiles”. It has already launched several ballistic missiles that were capable of carrying a nuclear payload.

Iran has also stepped up its support of Houthi rebels in Yemen with the supply of weapons. They are using the weapons to target the missile defence units employed by Saudi-led coalition units as well as to threaten shipping lines in Bab el-Mandeb and Saudi Navy ships.
