The Repressive Forces of the Regime Suppress the Protests of Sugar Cane Workers

The workers of Haft Tepe Agro-industry of Susa protested for the fourth time against the due payments and receivables.

As the state-run Fars News reported, the workers of the sugar cane company rallied with their families. More than 1000 employees, retirees and sugar cane cutters of Haft Tepe passed the 3rd day of strike on Tuesday, June 6.

Protests outside Iranian parliament coincide with Rouhani’s presence

On Tuesday 1st November, Rouhani was in Parliament to defend his three new ministers. At the same time, many people from all over Iran gathered outside the buildings in protest against the Iranian regime’s plundering of the country’s already meagre assets. The National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) report that hundreds of teachers from the literacy movement, “Shandiz Padideh” shareholders, workers and employees of Telecom, business owners, and so on, attended the demonstration.

Iran: Strike at major hospital

The National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) have reported that there was a staged protest at the Namazi Hospital of Shiraz in southern Iran. They were protesting the status of their pay and stopped working for a day. 

On 12th October the online News Agency reported supervisor of Namazi Hospital, Dr. Mohammadreza Edraki, saying that the situation is critical. Edraki said: “The health insurance organization has not paid the 6-month dues to this medical-education center. Like the other authorities, we are also concerned about this problem.”

Iran: Protests on International Teacher’s Day

To coincide with the International Teachers Day, the current and retired staff from the faculty of the Ministry of Education in Tehran staged a demonstration. On the morning of 5th October, they protested their low wages and lack of benefits as well as the terrible living conditions they are subject to.
